As a chef instructor at Hone-Sharpen there are various opportunities to share your knowledge of food. The Hone-Sharpen facility has 3 kitchens and a dining room for engaging in delightful and educational activities with our customers:
Hone-Sharpen “Night Out” Culinary Experience
Chef-demonstrated and interactive classes take place in the Hone-Sharpen Demonstration Kitchen. The demonstration kitchen has a large island, double wall ovens, a full range and an additional cooktop.
Participants: 10-17
Average Class Length: 2 hours
Hone-Sharpen “Next Level” Culinary Experience
These hands-on cooking classes will be held in the Hone-Sharpen Kitchenettes which is a kitchen with a series of 3 smaller open cooking stations each with its own range, sink, prep space, cabinets, and equipment. Participants will be divided into groups among the kitchenettes to complete assigned recipes under the instruction and supervision of the chef instructor.
Hone-Sharpen “Next Level” Culinary Experience
These hands-on cooking classes will be held in the Hone-Sharpen Kitchenettes which is a kitchen with a series of 3 smaller open cooking stations each with its own range, sink, prep space, cabinets, and equipment. Participants will be divided into groups among the kitchenettes to complete assigned recipes under the instruction and supervision of the chef instructor.

Hone-Sharpen “Intensive” Culinary Experience
The Hone-Sharpen Commercial Kitchen is a commercial teaching kitchen designed and equipped for professional foodservice use. Courses are structured with the more serious hobbyist or aspiring food professionals in mind which are completely hands-on and may have a lecture component.
Hone-Sharpen Culinary Discourse & Lectures
The Hone-Sharpen Dining Room will be used for culinary classes, lectures and events. At Hone-Sharpen classes often yield dishes and meals that are worthy of showing off. The dining room is there to also host scheduled showcases of students’ work to invited guests.
Hone-Sharpen “Intensive” Culinary Experience

Average Class Length: 1 hour
*1099 Independent Contractor
*$50 per contact hour (plus one additional hour per class for prep)
